Caught in the Act

Black Cherry Teatime

Caught in the Act

A friend sent a photo of her naughty cat on her kitchen shelf. I was intrigued by his pose and expression and started from there. Lots of my favourite objects also populate this   little story.  Oil on canvas  55x55cm

Tea Time Treats

Black Cherry Teatime

Caught in the Act

A new friend brought the most unusual, brightly coloured cakes for tea. From a cafe called the ‘ Broken Clock’ in Glasgow. They just had to be   painted.  We had eaten them, but no matter. The view? It was of one my favourite places during lockdown, Criffel seen from near Glencaple, and I am   still working from many of the sketches I made there during that strange time. Oil on canvas  41x51cm

A friend’s home which is right   on the beach is one of my special places I love to go. She has a beautiful   home and her collection of glass bottles always catch my eye. This, from memory, is a very loose interpretation of my experience of being there.  Oil on canvas 61x61cm
